I ordered the apple cider pancakes which I dipped into the local maple syrup along with eggs, bacon and sausage, and the home fries were crisp. I love when they drop off a pot of coffee at your table so your are not waiting for refills and the food was served promptly. Breakfast had an extensive menu and I especially liked the junior size portions of their popular selections. The restaurant itself is a large barn with a warm fire to greet you and the walls are dressed with pieces of history, antiques and fun quotes. The restaurant has an outdoor loudspeaker so when we heard our name called, it was a short walk through the decorative covered bridge back to the restaurant. We enjoyed learning about the different grades of maple and that each grade contents 67% sugar! Next to the maple barn was an outdoor coffee stand and in the middle was a very quaint gift shop full of nick knacks, toys, jewelry, food and of course maple syrup. At the most northernly point of the area we started in the Maple Barn where the staff gave us a tour of how to make maple. We had a 30 minute wait, so we set off exploring the grounds. As we pulled into the dirt parking lot, there was a short line out the door. Parker's Maple Barn rests amongst the winding backroads of Mason. My son and I set out on a beautiful fall morning from Boston and arrived in Mason ~ an hour later, by 9am. While planning a hike to Mount Monadnock, I googled breakfast places on the way, and found Parker's Maple Barn.
